They say that love crosses boundaries and time, and parting from our loved ones is always never easy. A lot of us with family and friends from the military, police and firefighters experience this a lot, and it is only fitting that I dedicate my music video for “Till I See You Again” to these dear heroes. Here it is! Share it with someone you miss!

Dava Guerin and Kevin Ferris Announce new Book on Veterans and their Service and Companion Animals

PHILADELPHIA, PA Jan. 18: Animals and human beings share a special bond that has existed for thousands of years. For our nation’s veterans, who have returned from war with visible and invisible wounds, those animal/human relationships often times are more profound. From service dogs that help wounded veterans perform everyday tasks most of us take for granted, and companion and therapy dogs that provide emotional support, to cats, horses, potbelly pigs and even birds of prey, these remarkable animals are enhancing the lives of veterans, and giving them a reason to wake up every day.

Skyhorse Publishing in New York City, signed a deal with Guerin and Ferris for a second book, after the success of their first book called, “Unbreakable Bonds: the Mighty Moms and Wounded Warriors of Walter Reed,” released on November 14, 2104. In “Unbreakable Bonds” Guerin, from Berlin, Md., and Ferris, from West Chester, Pa., told the inspiring stories of ten mothers and their severely wounded sons and daughter who were recuperating at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. The foreword was written by President George H. W. Bush.

“In ‘Vets and Pets,’ Guerin and Ferris continue their dramatic story telling, this time focusing on veterans whose lives have been turned around by some of the most surprising animals,” said Lloyd Remick, an entertainment attorney and Guerin and Ferris’ long-time literary agent. “We know readers will enjoy not just getting to know these amazing vets from Vietnam to Iraq and Afghanistan, but also their pets, who have some interesting stories of their own. There will be some tears, but lots of laughs, too, and we are thrilled that Skyhorse Publishing continues to be our partner in this endeavor,” Remick said. Remick added that the foreword will be written by Animal Planet Star and expert dog trainer, Andrea Arden.

Skyhorse Publishing will release “Vets and Pets: Veterans and Animals That Help Each Other Heal” in the fall of 2017

Congratulations Congressman Clement!

Former member of Congress, Bob Clement (D-TN) releases new memoir

“Presidents, Kings and Convicts: My Journey from the Tennessee Governor’s Residence to the Halls of Congress,” shares Clement’s front row seat to some of America’s most significant events and the people who shaped them

NASHVILLE, TN Dec. 19- “Presidents, Kings, and Convicts: My Journey from the Tennessee Governor’s Residence to the Halls of Congress” provides intriguing accounts of some of Clement’s most memorable events, from growing up in the Governor’s mansion, to becoming a Tennessee Valley Authority director, military officer and college president, to starting a business and serving in Congress for eight terms.

The book also examines: the current hyper-partisanship in politics today and offers solutions for fixing the country; Tennessee politics and growing up as the son of Governor Frank G. Clement; inside stories about country music legends and local, national and international politicians and events; what makes great leaders; and how to restore public service and politics as careers worth pursuing. In addition, at the end of each chapter are, “Clement’s Contemplations,” Clement’s humorous musings about politics and life. “I decided to finally write a book to preserve for my family and all Americans what I’ve learned and experienced over my lifetime,” Clement said. “My main goal is to restore faith in our political system and give people some insight into what it was like growing up as the son of a famous father. I hope to also encourage young people to not give up on our political system or the military, as well as consider getting involved in public service.”

“I’ve known Bob for almost my entire life, from when we both teenagers in Tennessee to the days when we worked together in Washington, D.C. We share a deep love of country, a trait that was obvious in Bob’s tireless work for the people of Tennessee and the United States. His autobiography, Presidents, Kings and Convicts gives readers an inside look into Bob’s remarkable life from Nashville to our nation’s Capital,” said former Vice President, Al Gore.

Lloyd Remick, Esq., attorney and Clement’s literary agent said: “Presidents, Kings and Convicts is an important book that only Bob Clement could write. He’s been an eyewitness to so much political history, and his life-story is fascinating. It also would be a book that anyone interested in understanding the inner-workings of government would appreciate.”

For more information on book signing events, or to book Clement for a book signing event email:www.presidentskingsconvictsevents@gmail.com, or visit Clement’s Facebook page. The book is currently available on Archway Publishing’s website, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Parnassus Books, and other bookstores across the country, as well as Clement’s web site: www.presidentskingsconvicts.com.

Congratulations to Applestick Media and Alice Nugent!

Congratulations to our client Applestick Media, and to the wonderful Alice Nugent for their exciting new project, The Alice Blue Gown!  On Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2016, the Armed Services Council of The Union League of Philadelphia Veteran’s Day Commemoration honored Major General William E. Ripp, the 50th Commandant of the US Army War College.  Additionally, the council presented an award to Alice Nugent in honor of her husband’s heroism during World War II.  Lt. Col. Owen J. Nugent loved his country and, even more so, loved Alice.  Lt. Col. Nugent was a war hero who commanded a B-17 (The Flying Fortress) during World War II.  He named the plane “The Alice Blue Gown” after the love of his life, and had her painted on the nose of the plane.  The plane flew a total of 28 missions, and while each mission risked the lives of all aboard, Lt. Col. Nugent knew that each mission completed placed him one step closer to returning home to marry the love of his life, Alice.  The talented team at Applestick Media, comprising of Scott P. Randolph, Fred Apple, Rick Lombardi, and Guy Quigley have captured the story of “The Alice Blue Gown” in a to-be-produced full-length, motion picture and/or documentary.  The film paints the picture of a true wartime love story, while tracing the historical significance of the B-17.  We are proud of our clients over at Applestick Media for their hard work, of Alice Nugent for her contribution to the film, and grateful for the sacrifice and courage of World War II veterans, and all those who serve.
